SOLD- Fender Blues Junior c2003 Upgraded - £350
I have upgraded this amp with a combination of Fromel and BillM mods (with my own interpretations). F&T power supply caps increased to 80uF to reduce sag. Coupling caps increased to 100nF to improve bass response. Tone stack capacitor values changed to improve bass and treble response. Input jack changed to off pcb type. Bias control pot added, bias set slightly cooler than factory spec to improve valve life. New Sovtek EL84 power valves fitted.
The amp now sounds rich and articulate without the 'boxiness' these usually have. Tempted to keep it but I shouldn't.
Antoria 680 1960s nylon folk -£130
I have reattached the bridge and fitted new tuners. A really attractive, nice playing and sounding old thing. Comes with soft case.
Vox AC50 Head 1976 Dallas era Amplifier £400
Just serviced and sounding absolutely terrific with really low hum for an amp this age. These 1970s Dallas era amps are all point to point hand wired powered with 2x EL84s, 4x 12AX7 preamp valves and diode rectification. Really well built and good condition. Loud too!
SOLD -Baldwin Burns Sonic 25 Amplifier. c1967 2x10" £160
This is a rare and amazing old 2 channel amp, all germanium transistor with the original 2x10" Burns Orbital speakers. Channel 1 has a wonderful deep and sweet sounding tremolo which really has that 60's feel. As with all old germanium amps there is a little background hiss, especially on channel 2 but it is fully working and a real piece of musical history. I've brought it back to life and it deserves a good home
